Fearless & Unbound

The faerie of fearless joy marvels in wander as the unbound elph guards her with amusement in his gaze, enraptured by her beauty.

I painted this as a gift and wanted to explore a slightly different style to my usual, leaning further towards stylised rather than my usual semi-realism. It wanted to be softer, focusing on creating a sense of magic so choosing a more pastel-based colour scheme helped. There are a lot of references to things that the person I intended the gift enjoyed, including the corset, headband and wings of Thumbelina for the original movie.
